small problem with the K&b 7.5

well i took her out for the 2nd time today and i kinda noticwed it last time but didnt pay attention but where the exhaust goes into the lower half of the outboard thingy it spits fuel right out. so i looked at the manuel for it and it shows now exhaust gasket.

so should i just try and stick one in / try and find one that fits or make one with the gasket maker stuff???

If you are talking about where the exhaust adapter fits into the lower unit halves....there is no gasket shown on the exploded parts view.
K&B has never had a gasket where the powerhead and lower unit mesh together.
Even if there were a gasket or o-ring seal, forget about it....and just let her spit. That slight exhaust "spit" [leak] would do nothing to change the 7.5 outboard motors performance.

i think just like a regular car/ truck motor if u have an air leak it will throw off your tune,

RE: small problem with the K&b 7.5

you are correct if air is entering the engine unmetered it will afect the tune but the fuel you are seing is after combustion if you had a pipe on your engine it would be comming out the stinger tip it is like when you have an engine that doesent start righit away and you pour raw fuel out the pipe the K&B engines like to run rich and ther is usually unburnt fuel when idleling and low speeds and if you could see it it goes away with high speed passes as the engine leans out with a load on it
