has anyone built a four-star bipe?
I'm seting here looking at my two slightly crashed Sig Four-Star 40's ,[sm=75_75.gif] and I just thought....Hmmmm[sm=50_50.gif].....That would make a nice looking biplane! I would need to clip down the bottom wing and scratch build another for the top...[sm=idea.gif]Any ideas or suggestions?

RE: has anyone built a four-star bipe?
A guy in our club built a bipe from a 4-star 60 kit, ordered the wing kit for the second wing. He clipped two bays from each end of the top wing, and three bays from the bottom. He gave the top wing about 3 inches forward stagger and placed it about 7 inches above the bottom wing. He made the bottom wing with "factory" dihedral, the top wing is built flat, and the tips are rounded. He did other things to the fuse to make it rounder, reshaped the tail. He built it for another guy, who put a 1.20 Saito in it, waaaay too much motor. A .91 would be about right for it. I haven't seen it in a while, but the first few flights looked good.
