Ah, Ok. Whats the smallest version of the plane that you have plans for? It's possible that I might be able to find a large format scanner here to digitize it with.

I have 60 size. The only plans that were ever drawn for the Long John. I'm really not in the business of selling plans. Just doing RCKen a favor and it evolved into all this. I'm having 20 set's of plans coppied tomorrow, and most of them are sold. When their gone............That's it. no more Long John plans. I have lot's of planes though, "RTF" All kinds. 40% down to 30%. Bob Laine

ok, let me know if you have any left over and I might get one from you. If it shrinks down as easy as you say it shouldn't be too hard to scale it to a .40 size.

Bob,
My set came in the mail yesterday. Another quick question if possible. Was there a construction article that went along with them?? Either way, thank you so very much!!!! I sure hope I can squeeze one in this winter. I'd love to have another Long John in the air next summer.

I have never treated any plane as expendable for the heck of it. Blue foam hand built, or ARF, I like them or I would get rid of it.

RE: pics of your favorite "throw around" plane
My "throwin' around" plane is now an Ultra Stick 40. I had bought it about 3 mo. ago with the intent of using it as an aerobatic practice plane without much of an emotional investment or risk to my trusty Tiger 2. It just so happened that the weekend that the US 40 was to maiden, I totaled the T2. The maiden didn't happen that weekend due to a warp in the right aileron. However, I got a break in the weather Sunday and got the initial flight on it. So now the US is the practice plane for my SSE until I get a replacement Tiger 60 built.

Here's my favorite Knock-around. Thunder Tiger Lazy Tiger 25 with a 40LA in it. Flies great with plenty of power. The 40 also handles the three-bladed prop pretty well too!

RE: pics of your favorite "throw around" plane
My favorite throw around was a Goldberg Eagle 2 that was 12yrs old. It was very fuel soaked on the fuse. Covering had a lot of patches. On its last flight, I was shooting landings and takeoff when the landing gear fell off on the takeoff. I flew around a couple times and then brought it in on its belly. With no gear I had no control and it slide into my car rim and that ended my throw around plane. It flew so well I built another Eagle.

All built up balsa. The first one I built years ago was heavier and I used 1/64" ply to make the cowling round...On the updated version I lighten the plane up by stick building the tail feathers and putting some lightening holes in the fuse. The cowl on this on is all balsa and put some angles on it to give it an updated look.
