My Face is Sunburned
...from a good day at the field.
I just gotta say, the GP RV-4, after a long, long build over the winter, has proven to be my favorite plane. I'm now racking up 70-90 air-minutes each day out to the field (yesterday I lost count). And am averaging about 20-25 minute flights (with reserve!). Even had the chance to hang out with other pilots from around 1:30 pm until about 4pm (got to the field about 11:30).
Finally, yesterday it was nice saturday in Philly, and I biked the plane to the field and went flying. Got in 5 flights with this bad boy, nary a miss on the engine all day, and no glitching, battery/switch problems, or servo issues, just good flying.
Just had to say this, becuase it was probably the best RC flying day I've ever had (only been doing this about 2-3 years now). Never before has everything worked so well, that I only had to go home because I ran all my Tx/Rx batteries dead. I burned up my last quart or so of fuel and had to borrow another 3 tanks from one of the other pilots after 2pm.
Anyhow, wanted to say thanks to the forum for teaching me so much, you can't have this good of a day without a whole pile of questions preceding it.
