Default Tiger 60 and old Saito 120?

I recently got a trade offer on one of my items for sale for a Tiger 60. I happen to have an older Saito 1.20 with the Gold rocker covers and natural finished case. Would this be too much motor for the plane? I know I can always throttle back. I previously had it on a Model Tech Joss Stick and it flew it fine.

Considering the Tiger .60's tendancy to come out a little tail heavy, your old Saito 1.20 might turn out to be a very good fit. I'd say go for it!

I have a .80 Saito on a .40 size 1/5th scale SIG Cub and it works, I don't see wht you 1.20 won't work on the Tiger 60. I did have to build a box firewall to get the cowling to fit correctly but that isn't that hard.

I have a Tiger 60 Kit and put a Saito FA-65 in it. The plane flies real well and the engine is more than adequate to do my sport flying. The Saito 1.20 is almost twice as heavy and double the power of the FA-65. I think you might be overwhelming this plane.

If you proceed with this engine, I would be interested in hearing from you as to how the plane flew and handled. I have been considering stepping up my Tiger with a Saito FA-80.
