One Of the Best Events in Canada
 

Gimli Manitoba up here in Canada made it's mark in aviation back in 1983 when the "Gimli Glider" (a new Boeing 767) touched down after a imperial to Metric fueling mixup;

10 years ago, a small club with the help of a few motivated experienced modelers started an event that has grown into a "must attend" sport fly-in that covers just about all aspects of the hobby in a friendly non-competitive event that culminates in a public R/C Airshow on the final day. Officially 3 days, the R/Vs now begin showing up as early as two weeks prior. Certainly not as big as some events, but impressive considering how seemingly out of the way it is.
