MYSTERY BRAND CHRISTIAN EAGLE!
Hi, I'm chris and I have a dilema. A customer came into work today wondering the brand of his new "swap-meet" bipe. It looks to be the same manufacturer of a plane of mine called the "Super Box Fly-10". What I'm wondering is first off the planes manufacturer, and if any spaer partsd are available (cowl mostly). The construction is 1/4" of EPP foam over a simple light ply frame. It's a 40 size and is quite large. The customer is going to e-mail me some pics, I'll upload them as soon as possible.
Thanx![8D] |
RE: MYSTERY BRAND CHRISTIAN EAGLE!
It's either EZ Models (sold by Hobby Shack) or Lion Models (sold be Indy RC). The Lion was a 60 size with a wingspan in the 48-54 range I think. I had one and it was one of the worst fliers I've had in my 25 years of modeling. As I remember, all of the flying surfaces were warped and it weighed about 10 pounds.
I don't remember if EZ had a small CE. They had one in giant scale size. Either way, they both have been out of production for many years. You're pretty much out of luck on spare parts. Jim |

He sent over the pictures of the mystery plane. Hopefully someone can identify it.
