DER JAGGER

The current (April 09) Model Aviation has plans by the prolific Laddie Mikulasko for a plane that has been on my "MUST BUILD" list for years, the "Der Jagger". It is a model of a homebuilt, some unknown designer's idea of what an old time Greman fighter should have looked like. The name means "The Hunter" - it fits.
The MA version is electric. Though mention is made that it would be suitable for .40 - .45 glow engine, no details are given. It is 50" span on the top wing, 40" on the bottom one and 42" long. Weight with electric power is listed at 4 lbs. It requires 4 servos, with mechanical coupling from the top to the bottom wing ailerons.
There is another option, an RCM design primarily for .60 glow power, with a larger 60" span. And yet one more option, the MA Plan No. 1027 at $36, listed as **Special Price, or the RCM Plan No. 509 at $16.50. Though RCM Magazine is now out of print, last I heard plans are still available.
My interest is renewed. As soon as I finish the project now on the bench, and finish the "Trainermaster" to follow, out will come the RCM plans.

Balsa USA kitted this model in the 80's. It is considered giant scale but forgot exactly how big. I think you can still get the plans from BUSA and then I am sure there is a kit cutter out there that could help you out if you want a kit.

Here is the link to a kit http://www.lazer-works.com/misc.html
not sure what to do for plans. BUSA did not list them on their site.
