Thread Subscription Symbol?
 

What happened to the thread subscription symbol (the capital letter 'S') on the thread subject line? I find that symbol to be very useful.

I imagine all the little features will work their way back once they get all the major stuff working.

Wow, someone that actually liked that feature? If you knew how many complaints and questions we received on that one it would blow your mind. :D

I do suspect, as John mentioned, you'll see many of the custom features Marc coded into the previous RCU come back again here if they were being utilized enough before. It's a matter of getting the higher priority issues done first, then the focus will be on the fun stuff we all loved about what was RCU!

Yeah, I like that little purple symbol. It's a quick way for me to find out which threads that I'm currently subscribed to. If I am at work or not receiving e-mail notifications, and the thread that I'm subscribed to is in bold, then I know that someone has made a new post in that thread.

I also liked the little dot that indicated which forums I had posted in. That was a helpful one!

Subscription symbol is coming back. funny you ask though. when I put it up the first time on the old site I got 100's of emails with guys demanding I remove it! they felt it branded their posts. they didn't realize ONLY they could view it :)

the yellow symbol simply means that the post was made in the last 24 hours.

Our whole read tracking system is being rewritten so your time is on our server so it is consistent if you surf from multiple computers. Email will change so only one email when there are replies. Quick reply box and inline posting will be online asap.

You will see all these things come back one by one over the next few hours to 2-3 weeks. There may be something added back in every day or so as we code and test.

time to start playing spot the update... i didn't notice the colours had gone back at first..
i'm sure i'll notice little things later like when the PM message does give you another option to open a new window. will take a while for that coz i keep clicking no lol

To me, the yellow symbol is not very useful. The threads in "bold" are already telling me that they are new and unread.
