Blocking a member
 

[sm=idea.gif]Although most of us get along quite well and respect our fellow RCU members, their is always an exception. I think RCU should allow a member to block another member from any form of contact such as bidding, making offers, posting comments, emailing or any other form of specific contact. This is not meant to censor or remove ones freedom of speech but rather to serve as a buffer to help alleviate interpersonal discord. RCU chooses to deal with this through some form of discipline but that might not be needed. Simply having the choice to block a specific member from any form of contact would serve to avoid any future problems between two individuals without punishing someone from normal interaction with the rest of the membership.

I beleive you can. That little 'traffic light' under teh user's name. If you click on it, you 'block' them and you will not see them or their posts..

At least, that's what i beleive it to be!

Yes in the forums there is the traffic light to block them.

In the market just go to the MyMarket page and you can block members from trading with you there.

Mr Mears (Iflyrc4fun) if you wasn't trying to hide from a certain couple people on RCU, there would be no need to block anyone. Unfortunately dr_wogz and RCadmin just helped Iflyrc4fun hide from 2 people that have tried on numerous occasions to get in touch with him. Sea157 and myself have had dealings with Mr Mears that are both very unsatisfactory and any and all attempts to reach this guy have been in vain. And if Mr Mears is out there reading this RCU also provides a little service to all that shows when the last time one signs on. So Mr Mears we know when your Last Login 12/21/2004 3:07:30 PM was. I think Sea157 and myself deserve at least a response email.
