Marc,

The tags in the FS forums that say "(When item is sold click here to close YOUR ad & lock this thread)" make the page very busy and it is difficult to scan the page to see what is available.

I understand you are trying to get people to close their own threads but this just detracts from the readibility of the whole page.

Is there anything you can do to make them better?

The shorter the description the more confusing people get. They should only appear on items that only you have for sale....there is a bug that may show them on any items you posted in or subscribed to which would increase the number of times you see this note thus cluttering things more than they need to be...let me know if these appeared only on your items you originally posted for sale if it would be cleaner...I'm working on that bug fix now

It looks like they were appearing on items that I had subscribed to too! I like to subscribe to various ads that I may be interested in buying so I can watch any price reductions etc.

I just went and checked again and now they don't appear at all, so maybe you have it fixed where they only appear for the owner of the thread.

Yup...it was a late night (4am) when I programmed that little gem into the site...had a hook for subscriber rather than thread starter which has now been fixed...now on the odd chance you post an item for sale or wanted ad it will only be at that time where you see the text and thus much less clutter!
