Questioning Limitations, Pop up alerts

I dont know how others feel about this, but I feel the new question limitations are very aggravating. I feel that I'm getting the same treatment a scammer would get. My suggestion for this would be some sort of level implementation. For example, once you reach a certain amount of good ratings, or a certain amount of posts, or a certain amount of hours on this site or however you would like to limit it, then users are allowed to post questions more frequently, and arent thrown through the stretched anti scammer processes. This makes the site a lot more user friendly, which I think is a pretty big issue with RCU. I personally know people who refuse to use RCU simply because they feel its much more difficult to use vs. a standard forum style RC sales site.

It would also be nice that when you recieve the pop up alerting you to new ad activity, that when you hit the 'cancel' button you stay on the page your on instead of going back to the default marketplace page. This is extremely aggravating, especially when it happens 3-4 times in a row.

Just a couple suggestions I've come up with in the 100's of hours I've been on RCU.

Thanks,

-Brandon

Brandon,

Both great suggestions. We had not thought of removing that time filter on the scammer delay for good marketplace participants or long standing members here. Most scammer spam fraud is by new members. I think this can be done and I'll let michael know asap.

Also on the cancel button thing...I feel your pain..I've been buggin' michael to fix this cause it bugs the heck out of me too! Hopefully he can resolve these this week!!!

OK...if you have been a member for a certain period of time (two months) OR you are an RC Trading Plus or higher member, you will NOT get the warning if you try to ask a question or post an offer within 2 minutes. This should filter the spammers.

Our pleasure! If you ever see anything that we can streamline let us know. we can't think of ALL the good ideas on our own!

Will do! I'm a programmer myself so certain things catch my eye, especially the things I know are relatively easy to fix.

Hmm.. Is it just me or did the whole notice thing go from one annoying extent to another? :D Not to be a pain, but the refreshing when you hit cancel is almost as bad!

OMG...I'm trying to remember why we have the relocation code even in there, now that you mention it!! No more refreshing.

So I take it too many people were abusing the no time limit posting huh? Cause I'm getting nailed again whenever I ask questions..

I'll check the code. It's possible it was overwritten because I was working from two locations when I made the changes. UGH!

I looked and the code is right. It's shouldn't stop you provided you have been a member for more than 60 days (or you are an upgraded member). Let me know if it happens again and on which ad.
