Review
I think the review guy should take up an extensive review on the RDlogics Wolverine monster truck. A friend of mine bought it, and it seems to be pretty similar to the savage 25. From a visual stand point it has a much more solid roll bar, and metal shock caps instead of the plastic ones. I’m curious to know what kind of abuse it can take, and how it stands up to HPI. I can't find any reviews, articles, or optional upgrade parts for it so im guessing it's fairly new. Just a thought.....would love to read about it....please consider.

RE: Review
If you want to learn about the Wolverine, go to shumacher racing in the UK and look up Nanda Raptor. It is the same truck. There is a forum thread dedicated to the Raptor. The SHO is the Nanda Swift. Both are excellent well built vehicles, and cheap to repair too. The lads in the UK are pushing the rappie around with OS 30's. It is better spec'd than Savage 25, as it was built to be better than Savage 25, and it was built to race. With the Toki , or Team Infinity engine, it is blindingly fast- in excess of 50mph, and it will run on 30%. However most uses could not controll or tune the Infinity, plus Nanda didnt bother to restrain the second gear clutch, so the clutch tended to blow the side of the gear out. Updated clutches are available from Shumacher, but not RDlogics. Drilling and pinning the clutch isnt very hard. I run a Kyosho GXR28 in mine. The bottom end Torque is good, but the top end is less without that 40 000 Infinity. Admittadly the Infinity does wear out faster due to the high rpm. I would also suggest using the Swift Pro Big Bore rear shocks all round on the Raptor.

RE: Review
cool you got a website that sells those swift shocks? I tried searching and couldn't find one. Do you know if they are making aluminum parts for that yet?

RE: Review
Rdlogics now list the 120mm swift pro big bore shocks as replacement upgrades for Wolverine. Part number starts with UG for swift upgrades
Below is the link to CPV racing who are starting to make alloy parts for Raptor/ Wolverine. Personaly , the only alloy I would put on is steering knuckles, as the plastic are a bit random for the bearing hole, and tye rod ends. Wolverine/Raptor doesnt need the extra strength of alloy for areas like diffs and bulkheads as it is a pretty strong truck to begin with. Plus plastic is cheap when you break it http://cpvracing.com/catalog.asp?id=310 Bit of background on the Raptor/Wolverine: http://betterpainters.co.nz/raptor.html |

RE: Review
I sent a request to RD Logics on April 30 for us to do a review on this but they never responded to me on this. They told nitronz they would send one to us if we requested one. Well we did but I never heard from anyone there. I will resend again today my last note to them and hopefully somebody will respond this time

RE: Review
Nice Review glad u where finnaly able to get the truck! When i first suggested it, I actually hadn't bought the truck as i stated but i eventually did and i agree with all that was discovered by your guy, however the brakes do wear fast!! And i think the throttle/brake servo is a little weak, but thats my opinion, and could just be the one i received. Overall it is a great truck espically for the price. Im putten it up against a savage 25 this weekend we'll see how it does! Thanks again to Nitronz for the after market part links.

RE: Review
The throttle servo is just a standard servo, and there comes a point when a manufacturer has to stop to keep the truck affordable. The Wolverine still offers more than the Savage 25 of the day ( 2005) However if you fit the Nanda brake pads ( they make them for Wolverine) to the calipers, fit a higher torque faster servo to the throttle it gets better. I would suggest a Radio with and adjustable end point to save pulling the carb into next week lol. later you can look at a Samurai 528 or similar High RPM engine ( Wolverine was built to take 40 000 rpm Infinity). The English boys are fitting OS 30 with just a mod to the clutch to restrain the tongue. ( Nanda provides an updated clutch but I dont think RD are providing it yet)
