Question aluminum engine mount alloy?

anyone by chance have an idea which aluminum alloy is used in aluminum engine mounts such as that of the ST 4500? This appears to be a molded engine mount and of lighter weight and typical plate and I was hoping to compare the strength modulus of the mfg mount with the new mount I am designing using 6061 T6. In this way I can scale the size of the mount to some extent and reduce weight. Any helpful comments would be greatly appreciated.

Casting alloys are often proprietary. Extruded alloys like the 6061 T6 you mention are great for machining but are going to be difficult for any DIY home bending or forming. If you are going to maintain strength and reduce weight, you will probably need to go with a stronger 70xx alloy such as 7075 or 7068. These are very expensive alloys and do not weld well, but they would be stronger than 6061 of the same dimensions.
