I have heard a few people say that on the old "S" series engines can be made to run in reverse. If you remove the front case, turn it counterclockwise 90 degrees (facing the motor) and rebolt it on, that the timing will now be for reverse running. Figured you would have the definitive answer on this. Thanks

If you turn the front housing so that the carburetor is on the same side of the engine as the exhaust port, the engine will run in reverse. It won't have quite the top-level RPM or power, but it will work out quite nicely.
