Default How does the 250 handle the wind?

Hi. I think building the 250 would be fun once Iget to be an accomplised CP pilot. But how does it do outside? What kind of breezes can it fly in? I don't have the room inside so Iwould only get it if it can fly outside. Thanks!

you'll be surprise the amount of winds the little trex 250 can take.  I'd say  5mph winds no problem.  maybe 10. anymore and its just no fun.</p>

Plus 1 on noobflyers post. I fly mine in "mild" wind all the time. Of cours now I got to get rid of my tail wag before I can fly it again. Going to have to do the tail mod posted on You Tube & HeliFreak [&o]

the 550e is really fast.. the power is quite good.. just be a little cautious with the motor.. as the new align motors are powerful but breaks out badly... Check also the gears as it strips.. Its also the first time I saw an Align Pinion strip teeth....

but heli is quite awesome

Funny you should say that. My stock 600m motor bearings started to squeal. Bearings are shot after only 45 flights. I just bought the scorpion 4025 1100 to replace. Its not a drop in so I will have to modify my frame little to acommendate.

Your lucky it started to squiel, his made slight noise then it started to bind bad. Only real warning was motor started to bog when he was inverted about 18 inches off the deck. had time to flip it & land before it locked up solid. If it had been me flying, that would have been fairly expensive malfunction. He replaced his with a Turnagy motor & it fly great

why is aligns quality getting poor... lately most of their helis models are having some kind of quality issues...

T250 : faulty tail assembly.. not a good design
T450 Sport.. tail blade grips fly out of the hub.,. this is even with loctite
T450 PRO.. Tail design too poor to hold.. blows out.. screws strip like crazy
T550E.. Poor framework, Motor burns out like crazy
T700NLE Tail hub problem, tail bearings. screws, nuts all wear out
T700E : motor pops out like popcorn.. similar with the 550E

and the worst 3G system fails like crazy.. even with the latest update still shows some quirks...
