Default TREX 250/DX6i for 2nd heli

Found a good deal on a newish TREX250 and DX6i with training gear. I have had the Blade MSR for a year and really good with it. Can I tone the heli down with the radio? I know I wont be able to fly figure 8s out of the box...but would I be able to take it off and hover it with the training gear with out crashing it?

Thanks.

Sure, set the dual rates down to 70 percent or so.

Nope! The 250 is for an experienced flier. It's very fast and getsaway from you easily causing you to lose orientation quick (Especially a beginner and that's what you are). You will make a HUGEmistake if you assume the size of the bird and cost= perfect for the new pilot.Spend the extra dough (Not much)and buy the Trex 450.

Agreed, go at least 450... that will get you at least more stability and confidence. Heck I went from my SR straight to a 500 ESP and was very happy I didnt stick with the smaller versions.

Yup
couldn't agree more & own all 3. The little 250 can be a hand full if just learning. 450 is much better. 500 even better if budget allows

+1 on that comment plus the bigger the heli the more stable they are
