Default Connectors

Since I'm moving into the realm of larger battery packs now with the purchase of my 550, I'm trying to figure out what is the best connectors to use on these big packs. I bought a Turnigy 6S 5000 pack that has 8G wire. I'm not sure about the Dean's fitting this wire size properly, plus I'm not sure if the Dean's can handle the current draw. I've looked at the EC5 connectors from Hobbyking and also the bigger Anderson Power Pole connectors.

What are you guys using on your larger packs?

I'm using Deans on all of my packs (2s to 6s). EC5's from horizon work great. Roommate has them on his 700.

NO Deans ! I had deans on everything, my buggy, all my heli's, Just switched over to XT-60 a way better connector,
I'm using the xt-60 on the 450pro, and the 550, works great
if your doubtfull, buy one connector and try it, it soon will be the replacement for the old deans
just soldered up a few turnigy 6s 4000 packs last night, 10 awg wire, no probs. and I was surprised on how bad the factory connections are, poor solder connections
also have them on a few 5000 packs.

xt60 are easier to solder and harder to disconnect accidentally.

I've been using them for many years and never had a problem with them. Right now, all my helis and batteries use deans. It would be to costly and time consuming to change all the connectors, just to change them to something different. If it's not broke, don't fix it..
