Default T-REX Main Gear Installation...

I'm sure this is a simple question, but I can't seem to get the one-way out of the main gear. I stripped off 20% of the teeth and it's causing a good deal of wobble, so I'd like it out

Any tips? I see the manual suggests LocTite-ing the one-way, so I presume it is LocTite that I'm up against, but 5 minutes of direct heat from the hair dryer didn't seem to loosen it at all.

Many Thanks!

I haven't had to do one yet but Align does sell a tool to remove the one way bearing so I would assume that's probably the only way to do it.

Even if there isnt locktight they are snug. I use sockets. I put one on the bottom thats big enough to swallow the one way and tap another the same size on top with a hammer. Works for me.

Invest in $5 buck Align tool, until then get a socket that fits over the lip. Then w/smaller socket (not small enough to wedge inside bearing) using a C-Clamp press it out slowly.

You can drive it out with hammer, but you could damage the top edges of the bearing. After done, always flush the bearing with alchohol & use light oil like Marvel or possibly trans-oil. Its very important to service the bearing, or its service will be shortened drastically.

With the Align tool, it takes minute at best.

Yes, I can see a One-Way removal tool in my future.

Ironically, the socket thing was exactly what we did. Great minds must think alike?

Thanks, folks!
