Default help mounting esc

i am having some trouble with the way my esc is mounted and wanted to see if anyone here as any good methods for mounting the esc.

right now i have velcro holding it on under the battery tray in the front, but the esc gets hot and any kind of adhesive generally melts off after a few days of flying.

I was thinking of using a zip tie but since the BEC gets hot enough to melt the plastic covering i thought a zip tie could melt in-flight.

A zip tie will work fine.

Your bec shouldn't be getting hot enough to melt anything...

Like Karyn said, if your ESC is getting hot enough to melt glue.. you've got a problem. Check your gear meshing, and make sure you aren't over-gearing your motor.

As for mounting, zip ties work quite well. I've also used velcro straps (the kind you can use to strap down your batteries). You can pick them up at just about any hardware store and even alot of dollar stores, and they work great for a non-permanent solution .
