Default Do I have to place tape in blades CG?

I've followed finless video on blade balancing, but got a little stuck since I've got two options at hand for my situation.

Heres what I did -

Balanced each blades CG individually with both blades having the same common reference point. Got that perfect.

Then when I joined the two blades to balance as a whole, the blade with the tape is heavier, but when I add tape to the lighter blades CG then that side becomes heavier. Using a single stripe of tape that was supplied with the blades. So instead of placing it in the CG I put it close to the root of the blade and got it perfectly balanced.

So would this be correct or would it be better to add the tape to the lighter blades CG making it then the heavier side, then add another stripe of tape on the other sides CG.

Default RE: Do I have to place tape in blades CG?

You should add it to the lighter blades cenert of gravity ,But you dont have to use the whole piece.just cut it and use as much as you need to balance it.Also I think in the video he does say with the smaller blades you can get away without worrying about cg.But I think if there off alot then I usually do it.
