Default Futaba R319 DPS question

Anyone know what OSC and 9/B channels stand for on the Futaba R319 DPS receiver?

OSC= OH Crash... the 9B must be some denomination in Billions
of the repair costs after your OSC.

It's very technical math and I just don't get some of the fine points

Its DSC and means Direct Servo Control, it allows you to plug a cord in and control the servos w/o transmitting.

9/B means channel 9 or battery, though the battery can be plugged into any open channel including DSC since all the positive and negative terminals in a reciever are ganged together in whats called a power bus. You can also use a y connector and plug a channel 9 servo and a battery (or any channel as I said) into that channel. Its rare to need all 9 channels though my scale helicopter does and I use DSC for the battery since I have never found the need for a dsc cable.
