Default which heli hobby package

Im sure this has been asked a thousand times, but i'm trying to write this before i go to class. I am looking at the combo packages from Helihobby for the 450. Right now I am undecided between the spectrum package and the Align Brushless combo. I liked the Spectrum package until i started reading about how the included servo's were junk. On the Align combo I would get either the Futaba or JR CDE package and just get a Futaba remote from Tower. My other big question is are there any flight differences between the 450x and 450xl? This will be my first heli, and I know I'm in for all sorts of crash's, but I would like the heli that flies a bit smoother.

The only other heli combo I am looking at still is the MX400 (non pro) combo from Tower Hobbies.

Can I suggest you check out http://www.modefosheli.com and or http://www.rchover.com for your trex package and or do a search on HeliHobby here and with the BBB in California.

hmm... ok, so on the Modefo's page, this (http://www.modefosheli.com/inc/sdetail/26599) combo looks good. does "just add electronics" mean that all I need is the Tx, servos and a gyro?

Ohh I see, I would also still need a motor and ESC as well

well after thinking about it I still like the Helihobby combo's better, I am thinking more towards the Align combo than the Spectrum combo. Is there any reason to get the JR over the Futaba or vice versa?

Both are great radios, you will find fans of both. I went with Futaba because you can find more Futaba users on these forums, so when you need advise it is easier to find. Thats my logic and I love my Futaba 7C and 9C.
