I got a trex 450XL HDE this is my 2nd heli, first was a nitro powered litemachine heli......

Align 430 motor

Align RCE 500x gryo

Align 35A BL ESC

3 Hitec HS 65MG

TP 2100 11.1 lipo

I still need a tail servo?

So how did i do for starters?

Any info would be great or if any one runs this setup , help is needed

Also im at the part to install the motor and not sure what motor gear to use?

Thanks in advance

Nahh, fly it like that, tail servos are for helicopters.
Wait--that _is_ a helicopter. You better get a tail servo.

And use the little gear for the motor. The big gear goes on the helicopter.

Sorry--I don't know what came over me there.
The HS65MG is a fine servo, they are fast and strong, and with the rce500x you can't use a digital anyway, so get another 65MG for the tail.
Be sure to use a boom mount for your tail servo, it will be a lot easier to adjust it.
And I would recommend the smallest of the included pinions at first.
And did you mean a DX7 radio? Excellent choice.

Just a milder feel. It's just a suggestion, the pinions are easy to change, you can try all three in one battery pack.
Sorry about the "humor", I hope you aren't offended, sometimes I just say stuff out of my head.

I would personally get an HS-81 for the tail. All the local flyers here use it on their Trex and it's cheaper and faster and more powerful than the HS-65's. For under $18 it's the best tail servo other than going digital; it was practically meant to be married with the align gyro. Everything else in your list is fine, don't worry about using the 500x, I have a brand new GY401 collecting dust because my 500x works so well.

use the 11t pinion if just flyinhg around

use the 13t pinion for 3d ( will get you about 3000rpm headspeed....but this is not needed unless you are really into 3D!)

Dont skimp on the Gyro or tail servo

I run a JR G500T Gyro and a JR DS3400G Servo.

The G500T is about $10.00 more than the Futaba 401

Have fun
