Default Trex 450se DONE!!!

Here is my trex that i got for xmas. The kit had the wrong size tail boom so i had to wait for a while until a new one arrived. Hitec hs-65hb for the swash and one Futaba 3145 for the tail. Have not flown it yet but weather depending it should go up tomorrow.

I would recommend the new Thunder Power Extreme 20C packs, I usually run 2100mAh (or there abouts) size packs. I have a TPX 20C and an EVO 20C 2150mAh pack, both are great packs. I usually only run 8min flights, mainly to extend their life. These packs can really deliver the current wehn needed and are a noticeable improvement over the old TP 15C packs.

Oh, and nice heli - I just got an SE as well, which I hope to maiden on the next good weather day.

Hi Scott,
Nice looking heli! Good luck with the maiden.
You might try the 1700's for testing, but like Murp says, Thunder Power 2100's are great.

The problem with smaller packs is that the drop the voltage under load. So you are really abusing the packs, leading to short flight times, and short pack life.
Vince

P.S. and off topic, I have been down your way a few times. In-laws live in Foley, and we vacation in Gulf Shores and visit Pensacola.

Looks good But.....

Put your Gyro under the boom, and put your tail servo on the other side of the boom.

If you get a boom strike it will get expensive real quick.

Have Fun.

Your gonna love your SE!

That mounting for the servo gives the least ammount of binding. I have tried all angles. I do love it. Flys soo much better than my Walkera 22E and HDX300.
I ordered a gyro mount from HD today. Will play it safe until i get it next week. No crazy suff.

I am all ready rethinking that one. I just read another thread at runryder about the 3154 burning out or melting.

Spend the money on the Futaba 9650. You have a nice heli, give it the best servo.
Good luck!

Cool, How does it do with fast backward flight? Fast tail slides? Backwards loops?
