Default UP AND DOWN

My heli will fly slowly up and down about three to four feet. I is a constant and predictable up and down. I had just put a brand new 430L and it still does the same thing up and down very smoothly. It makes no funny sound. So I am thinking maybe the speed control maybe the throttle curve. I dont know what it could be I can only guess.

Could be the battery. Remember depending on the load on the battery the voltage could change especially if the battery is going bad.

I have tried two different batteries that are fully charged.

I suppose throttle curve could be involved in the solution. Is it happening in Stunt or Normal Mode or both? I had an issue when I first got the T-Rex because I put the throttle with a min stick of 60% and a max stick of 85%. That combined with a liner pitch curve made it a bit unstable. Try putting a little exp in the pitch curve. Unfortunately I'm kind of shooting in the dark but that would be my strategy. Good Luck.

I am a beginner so I am still on normal mode. I have checked my xp8103 and the throttle curv looked good and so did the pitch curve.

Um, if it is moving up, give it a little less throttle. If it is moving down, give it a little more throttle.

I know what he is talking about. My heli will do that too. One minute Im hovering about 5 feet off the ground and then it will begin to drift dowards and then back up again. Its as if somebody changed the pitch of the blades. There is no change in headspeed or any control input. HOWEVER since I fly indoors in a confined space I have attributed my problem to an aerodynamic phenomenom in which rotorwash air is recirculated around and through the rotor blades causing a loss in lift.

slop or binding in the links in the head can cause this also...

I think I may have solved my bobbing problem..... I raised the headspeed and all that did was make it noisier (haha). But I was looking over the swashplate and checking all the various links when I just happened to notice that my flybar paddles weren't even with each other!!! Since I don't have a pitch gauge I eyeballed it until they were both level with the swash plate. Did a quick flight and the bobbing, for the most part, seems to have gone away!!!!!!

I looked at my flybar and it was a little bit off so i bent the bar a little. It flies a whole lot better now lets see how it does tomorrow.
