I have my ESC mounted under the cooling fan and my Rx right next to it (using a 2.4ghz). I'm using the dreaded 25 amp Align esc and it stays cool and doesn't give me any issues. I used to have my receiver mounted on the outside of the frame but there was nothing to protect it in a crash.

I've used the 13 tooth pinion with the wooden blades with the 430 motor and it works fine. I normally use the 325 carbons cause they feel more stable to me.
