Default Questions about a T-Rex

I am an experenced Raptor 50, Blade CX, Blade CP guy and I want to ask Santa for a T-Rex but I'm not sure which one so here's a few questions.

1) There are basicly 3 kinds of T-Rex's... 450SA, 450SE, 450SE V2...is this correct?

2) If #1 is correct, what's the difference between 450SE and 450SE V2?

3) Are any of these an unassembled kit? (that's what I would rather have)

David

the V2 is the newest out, it has improvements over the SE, I'm not sure what they are though.

the SA will come partially assembled but the other two will come in little bags to be put together, check out helifreak.com go to the technical section and download Finless Bob's heli instructional videos, they'll help a lot!

any are a good choice by the way...

the SA is aluminum body with plastic head and tail. the se and se v2 are very similar but the improvements in the v2 have removed some of the slop in the head from the se v1.

i always suggest that you get the best you can afford, the se v2 is definitely worth the extra cost.

Sounds like some pretty good answers, the V2 is starting to sound pretty good to me.

Hi Guys, I am new to this thread cause I got on to Trex about 10 days back. I have some elementary questions:
I am just assembling my Trex. I have Trex 450 XL HDE and Spektrum DX7 and AR6100 reciver. As you know this kit is a collective pitch system; so there are 4 servos - ele, aile, rud, and pitch(I guess). So on my AR6100 receiver where should the pitch servo connection go? The other servo connections are clear. Similarly where is the control setting for the pitch trim in DX7? I still need to explore my DX7.

Thanks before hand for your answers.[8D]

not to be rude dude... but if you'll follow this link over to helifreak and check out the Tech Room and then the t-rex 450 video thread, the answers are right there and will answer all of your questions. Believe me, my first build, I used these vids, adn the thing flew right off the bat...

the thread:

look around, there's some spectrum setup videos in the forum also I believe..

David, just like others have said - if you have flown a Rappy, you will be disappointed if you get anything less than the SE V2.
