Default T-REX450SE V2 Motor Pinion Position

Hey, Guys.

I'm 99% done, but doing final tweaking.

I have the 12T motor pinion height on the motor shaft positioned to where the top of the pinion is pretty much flush with the top of the Blue Main Gear. I have just the tiniest visible amount of end play (guessing maybe .2mm) on the heli's main shaft; just enough not to bind, I guess.

Mesh I have I would say maybe 95% as there is, again, just the tiniest amount of backlash.

I noticed the motor pinion flares at the bottom, and I had the pinion set too high as the bottom of the blue gear looked like it was chafing just the tiniest amount; hinted by the off color I attribute to powdering.

Do I have it adjusted correctly now?

Do You all run two strips of paper between them to adjust the mesh?

What is Your method?

Thanks, again.

Gary

Gary, why don't you look at Finless's videos, he covers all the things you are asking in all his 450 vids, very useful.

Gary,

Don't sweat it! You are probably good right the way you are!

Cut a small slice of regular printing paper. Feed that into your gear mesh. The "results" should be an accordian-like strip with no torn spots.

Adjust as necessary. On my setup, I didn't have to adjust a thing. It was perfect right from the get-go.

Hey Gary,

I agree about watching the finless videos. They are invaluable resources that cover EVERYTHING we'd ever need to know about our SE V2.

You are close man!

I finally finished mine up yesterday and have hovered about 4 battery packs now. I'm psyched to start nose in but nervous as hell....don't want to wreck my new build.....yet!

Hey, for some reason I can't seem to PM you. I've answered one of yours and sent 3 others...but my sent box still says 0 sent....have you received any from me?

Good luck bro!

John
