Balance plugs????

Balance plugs????
So I just got a new charger and a pair of batteries. This particular one has a set of balance plug ports. My old old charger didn't have any balance charge ports at all. The balance plugs on the batteries are different. The new batteries have JST-HX plugs (aka Align style) and the old battery is a Thunder Power. Can I just go to Radio Shack and buy the plastic part and re-wire the TP battery? From what I can see on the various websites that sell balance plug adapters, these are wired straight thru. Or is there something that I am not seeing?
