Default Dampener

Has anyone tried to make there own dampeners for the 450 V2 out of fuel line?
I just cut out a set and it seem to fit perfectly...the only possible issue would be the softness of the rubber vs. the ones sold for the Trex.

I would think they would be way soft, but you wont know until you try. Let us know. how they work.

I'm wondering if that aquarium tubing would work, too stiff?

Well, with the V2 using the 4mm feathering shaft...its pretty snug with the fuel tubing.

I changed out a set after 200 flights and the new ones didn't look or feel much different. But there's a lot of variables at work, considering how widely modified Trex's tend to be. I'm using a stock 430L motor, 12T pinion, plastic grips and the lightweight 325 carbon blades (white), a combination that isn't exactly extreme in any way but one that I flew aggressively.

I have used the dampener set I cut out of fuel tubing for a couple of flights now, and it works perfectly.
I will have to fly a few more times to really get a good assessment of it's performance.

Never the less, one foot of fuel tubing should last me forever.
