Default T-Rex 600 nitro with Terrible tail spin

I have a T-Rex 600 nitro with terrible tailspin. It has nothing t do with the rudder. I took off the rudder blades and the main blades and it still tail spins. Is something wrong with the clutch? Is there something bent? The tailspin starts as soon as any throttle is given...

Has it flown properly before? If this was your first flight try reversing you gyro direction switch or something similar to that depending on what gyro you have.

yes i have been flying it for a few months. Which gyro would cause that much tail spin with any amount of throttle. It wants to spin vigerously the opposite way of the main blades...

The switch I was talking about was the direction the gyro senses what direction to correct in. If it was backwards the tail will spin out of control.

Torque from the engine and main rotor shaft are what make it spin, the tail rotor is there to counteract that torque.

First, make sure everything is put together correctly. Examine the manual, make sure the tail blades are turning so that if you look at the right side of the helicopter (tail left, nose right) then when the main blades are turned the tail rotor turns counter-clockwise.

Then give right rudder, ensure the tail blades change pitch so as to push the tail of the helicopter to the left. If thats wrong, reverse the rudder channel on the transmitter.

Then pick up the helicopter by the head and turn the nose to the left (counter clockwise looking down) the tail servo should do the same thing as when you gave right rudder, if thats wrong reverse the gyro with the NOR/REV switch on the top of the gyro.

I gotcha. I will try that Barracudahockey. I just cant see that switch accidently getting nocked to the wrong position. What would have changed since the last time i flew it tha would have caused this reverse problem to happen?

With Helis: LOTS of things! That's why you need to go back to basics when troubleshooting.
