I have a 450SEV2 and went to the 600ESP and I love it. It is very stable and very fun to fly. And there is nothing better than hearing the heli spool up.

I hardly fly my 450 at all anymore. I built a T-Rex 500 last January and then a T-Rex 600 in July. After getting the bigger helis, I just don't seem to enjoy flying my little 450 anymore. I am thinking of changing out the power system in my 450 to a lower KV motor and running it on 4S in an attempt to get a little more power out of it. Either that or just sell it outright and build that MSH Protos that I am currently drooling over.
My only complaint with the 600 is the stock power system. It is fine for basic sport flying but in my opinion does not have the guts to keep up with someone learning 3D. The 6S setup is also pretty hard on batteries. One of my flying buddies flys with the older 600xl motor and you can hear his head bogging quite a bit during funnels and repeated flips. I am running an 8S setup with a Scorpion HK-4025, Castle HV85, and Outrage 8S 3700 packs on mine. With this setup my govenor is able to keep my headspeed at a pretty constant 2100rpm even during funnels.
With that said, my stock T-Rex 500 feels like it has as much if not more power than my 8S powered 600. The 500 is much more stable than the 450 and flies a lot like it's larger 600 brother.
I don't think you can really go wrong with either the 500 or 600.
