For a beginner, get the sport. It is cheaper when you crash .
For a more advanced pilot, get the Pro. The torque tube gets pricy every time you crash.

Or you can get the HK450 pro belt version from Hobbycity. 99% Trex Pro so parts are easy to find and interchangeable. At the same time you'll save money on the build and can always upgrade to Align parts when needed. Could also save money by buying parts at HK-Parts.com. I got the HK450 pro belt version and love it. I'm the type that can't afford the "real" thing but at the same time would never spend that kind of money for a "name brand" heli. Just my $.02

Here's my T rex 450 pro Align. I've tried a few clones and I had some issues. Upgrading later for Align parts is not a prob if the heli survives that long after flying it around. So please be careful trying to save money in the long run! Good luck!
