Default Trex 600 upgrade advice

Looking for advice for upgrading my trex 600 for more grunt. At present running 5000 mah 6s packs with standard Align 600 motor. Want to stick with 6s.
I have just bought new helical gear/pinion set and am thinking of getting the align 650 motor. Does anyone know if there is a marked increase with this motor on the original 600, or is there better motor options for 6s? Also what gears/headspeed should I run?
Thanks

Scorpion 4025-1100 if you want to stick with 6 cells. You may have to grind out some of the frame to make it fit. Lighter blades such as the CY Radix Stick Bangers will also give you a little more grunt. As far as head speed goes, anywhere from 1800 to 2200 depending on what type of flying you want to do.

You wont get any noticable improvment with the 650 motor. I have read a few threads on forumns saying the 600M was better but havent tried one yet. If you really want an improvment you will have to go to a higher cell count. Over the winter I jumped to 12S. Its a MONSTER Rex now.

Can you post up a picture of your battery arrangement ?

Also,
Anybody ever try the "M" motor with a 14 tooth pinion and a 7 cell ?

OK, well I just did.
Basic hovering and 2 drag leaps
7s5000
Align "M" motor
ICE 100
12kHz
No timing advance
High motor start power
2000 headspeed (set RPM with 2000/2100 and all high gains)
14/170 teeth

I came up from 1900 headspeed on the 15 tooth pinion with a 6s5000 setup. The ESC was allways at 90-100% motor power, even during hovering.
NO MORE.
Look at the ICE graph below. Looks like I can try for 2100 headspeed next.
I like the way she is moving now.........much more nimble.
Motor temps are cooler and so is the ESC !!
It was 94 deg F outside when I flew this !!!!!!
Motor came down at 128 on the IR gun
ESC was 100 on the IR gun
