Default What servos for a 450 size heli?

What servos do you recommend? I like Futaba stuff but will listen to suggestions for other brands. I have been away from RC for a couple years and just not sure what all is out there, seems like several sizes on the market now. I do know I want a good one for the tail rotor.

Thanks,
David

65MG is good for cyclic, for tail Futaba S9257 is the great one

If you're short on funds, a Hitec HS-81 works well on the tail as well. Only good if you're not doing crazy 3d stuff, but will work OK for rolls, loops, flips, etc.

if you want cheap digitals you can get the Align 410M servos.. but they are somewhat unreliable on crashes as the plastic gear strips.. leaving just the metal gears working..

I ran those Turnigy MG90's on my 450 Pro and loved them. Crashed time and time again and never killed a single servo. For $5 you can't go wrong. I know they say you get what you pay for but I found them to be fast and responsive. I could flip and roll one after another with no problems. Worth looking at.

Yes here's a link for the 450's and 500 I've used.

450's: http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=9392

500's: http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=9391

Both of which have taken some serious crashes and never broke more than a servo horn. Servo's are still smooth and performing amazing LOL

The ones listed above for the 450 are awsome. I thought they were realy crisp and plenty fast.

That is good to know that HC is selling more reliable servos for helis now.. and the prices are really good... for that price and a servo that works wonder.. its easier to get into this hobby

Hey

Does anyone know if these Ino-Lab hg-d212mg servos any good for a t-Rex 450 v2 / pro?
I'm using hitec hs 65hb on 450 se v2 atm. But got a tarot 450 pro what I'm slowly building.

I can get them cheaper then the hitec hs 65mg and they are digital

I looked on HeliDirect for those servos so I could see some specs and they dont carry the 212. But at the same time I've never heard anything bad about Ino-Lab so if your getting a good deal on them why not try them? Metal Gear anything sounds good. LOL I rtan the Tunrigy MG90's on mine, smooth, clean and could take a hell of a beating. Only $5 a servo too.

I am using the Fusonic servos... these little gems are very reliable.. centers great and last long.. never had a problem with them in flights.. they also have a high torque advantage over the standard Hs65Mg's as these run at around 2.5kg / 4.8V
