Default The best tail servo for Trex 500 clone?

I have an HK500 heli with a Futaba 6EXHP radio system. I like to buy from Hobby King so do they sell what I need or should I bite the bullit and buy another brand. I want a good fast tail servo but don't want to break the bank any ideas?

I run an Align DS520 on my tailprice is about $54.00. Not that expensive, and trust me I DO NOT have deep pockets but, it holds very well & I'm using a old gyro by todays standard a JR500T. I'm still learning too, so I don't tax either very hard. fast backward flight, working up to backwards loop.Right now I fly sport & am learning 3d
The thing track right on even in wind. Tha'ts my 2 cents worth. I buy a lot of stuff from Hobby King as well but am leary of electronics that are not known to me or others in my area. I'd rather stay with tried & true stuff purchased local. If I have questions I can get answers fast. Good luck

The 9257 seems to be the servo of choice for 500 owners. I was looking on HeliFreak.com last night and someone had posted the same question. If they weren't running an Align tail servo, it was a Futaba. But check out this brushless servo I found on HobbyCity. http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=9980

Futaba brushless servos are awsome but there price is complete over kill. This servo is supposed to as badass as a Futaba but you have to make sure you can change your pluse with on the gyro down to 760.

I run a DS520 on my trex500 and get get a slight tail wag so i am going to swap it out soon with a futaba S9257..... I just put this servo on my trex 450 and it holds my tail as tight as I ever seen it so I am going to give it a go on my 500 next.

on my 500 I have a 9650 works fine too although the servo is not as fast as the 9257 but it does hold and work well... similar before the 9257 came out the 9650 was a crowd favorite as tail servo

Yeah the 9650 is awsome. I had one on my old 450 Pro. I think I'm going to try that Turnigy Brushless servo from HobbyCity though.
