difference between blades....

Hi guys... I am a newbie, still breaking blades very often (14 crashes so far, hehe)..... I always buy woodies from align, 325mms, but I was wondering, what is the difference between 315mms and 325mms (I mean, I know, 1cm!), but what I mean is in the performance, because in my LHS the difference between them is 4dlls (if you think 14 x 4 = 56dlls!!!!) so, I always buy 325 because mine came with it, but, what if I use 315mm??? worse???? also, I think there are 335mms, what is the difference between them???? is it worth for me to buy all time 325mms????? Thanks which blades do u recommend?????

I'm kind of a beginner as well but I always thought the longer the blades the slower the headspeed which translates to smoother hovering and forward flight (more lift). The shorter the blades the faster the headspeed and the more responsive the bird will be in 3D.

For the beginner you'll want the longer blades, it's much more stable. Check out Tech Model Products, I've been using the 335s and they are pretty decent woodies:

as a newbie your not going to see or feel a difference in performance ..... stick with the woodies you can get cheapest ... use alum booms not CF once again cheaper ... save the Bling for when you can hover and fly with out crashing ... OK 1 set of CF blades for Club shows static display :D

I've picked up several sets of Align 325 CF on ebay for 25 bucks including shipping. I might be mistaken but 325 woodies are in that price range. I seem to get better performance from the CF. I'm just doing hovering and foward flight nothing fancy. Check out ebay for deals.

I had 2 set of CF as you said, I crashed both times, hehehehehehe, it was in my first days of flying

I get 325 Align Woodies in my LHS for 13dlls  saving many bucks after many crashes, I know what carbon blades you talk about, I had 2 sets of them, but I crashed with them, I felt the difference though, smoother and lighter but still expensive for crashing [:o]

Thanks for the answers, I'll stay with the 325 ($13dlls) or 315 ($11dlls) if I won't feel difference, thanks.

Your not going to really notice the difference until you have been flying awhile..I keep spare of 315, 325, 335 and a set of 325 CF for my rex..335 are more stable 315 more response carbons for when Im doing some real nasty 3D..only once did I break some woodies doing 3d, but i think that was more for the fack i had them on there forever and stress finally took its toll whle doing tic tocs..anywho get the cheaper ones and play with it for awhile..

English is not my first language, but CF LOOK seems to be just they they "look" as carbon fiber, no???? maybe they are woodies covered with a different tissue, but it doesn't matter, it's a great deal, I'll have to give it a try, thanks oly_racer
