Severe Vibrations

Hi everyone,

I just bought a used 450 SE, as I was starting to turn the head slowly, the helo was shaking terribly. It was making other noises, come to find out the main gear is hitting the frame. I understand about vibrations but this was bad. With that being said, I balanced the blade and started the process over again. This time it was less but the vibrations were still there. I'm thinking a bent main shaft or a warped main gear, but this is my first real RC Heli... I contacted the person that I purchased it from and it has never been crashed.

I'm open for any suggestions and thanks in advance.

How do you mean the gear is hitting the frame?
If the top of the gear is hitting the frame there is suppose to be a spacer between the top of the gear and the main bearing.
Measure each side of your flybar out to the paddles, they need to be exactly the same on each side.
Are there weights on the flybar? move them in all the way and see if that helps.
I would remove the main shaft and make sure the spacer is there and roll the bare shaft on a piece of glass or a mirror to make sure it is not bent.
I would check the feather shaft as well.
