I bought the 450SA about a year ago and it came with a CF rod for tail control. Just buy the rods seperately, Align part#AGNH1136W. You get 2 rods per package and 4 linkage rods, 2 straight and 2 "Z" bends. I don't use the Z bends- put one straight rod in each end of the CF rod and use ball links.

I have an opposite opinion. The CF tail linkages are garbage.
The ends break off in even a minor crash (I broke one once on setup when I had just a little too much throw, snapped right off at the end) . I have never had to replace a metal one.

i personnally like the carbons better myself. i've had an SA that i had to sell and then bought an SE V2. that flimsy metal shaft would flex and throw off my deflection and i wouldn't get the yaw rate that i wanted.

i found some 2.5mm carbon tubing....the linkage rods fit snuggly inside the tube. i figure with a little epoxy glue..they ain't going nowhere

Yea, I've broken a few in the last year but I don't consider it a problem. Just the little plastic end broke off one end or the other. I've had a LOT of crashes and breaking a carbon rod has never been an issue.
