Which is what?

Looking to buy anew heli in a month or two so started doing some homework and it seems the two on the plate are the belt cp and the t rex. What i am wondering is in short terms can someone tell me what the real differences between the various rex's is/ hdx,se, as, etc. Appreciate the help. I really want like the 450 range of heli's , it's just there are so many models on the rex i can't really figure what one i want in the rex if that is the choice. Thanks all.

I think I found the belt cp but could you post a link so I am sure you are looking at the same one I am.

As far as the Rex goes I am not sure they even make the hdx models any more but I could very well be wrong. The difference between the SE and SA is the frame on the SE is carbon fiber and the SA is aluminum there are more differences but I forget what they are, I don't own the SA version. The SE and the SE V2 is an upgraded version of the SE with thrust bearing's on the main blade holders and some more upgrades but once again that's all I am sure about because I don't own the V2.

RE: Which is what?

HDX is not a T-Rex but another 450 size heli distributed by Helidirect.com , a Nice heli though.
T-Rex made by align has the XL, SA, and several SE models.
XL is all plastic but a nice heli and great place to start.
SA has metal sides and many plastic parts in the head and tail.
SE is top of the line and has carbon fiber frame and mostly metal head and tail.
HDX (not made by Align) is built on what is known as a super frame (some T-Rex owners upgrade to this frame) made of G10 fiberglass and has full metal head and tail. Some T-Rex parts are compatable but not all (I had to replace the feather shaft on mine and none of the T-Rex shafts would work but the T-rex main shaft and main gear set does fit)

Actually the original TREXs were the HDE and HDX version. Finless Bob actually has vids for both of these versions.....

I remember HDE and CDE. But if Align made an HDX version then I stand corrected.
Although the current HDX is as I described and is promoted as a T-Rex on Ebay when it is not.I own one.

Thats why I got mixed up to I thought the HDX was an upgrade of the HDE one of the older trex's.

RE: Which is what?

Thanks for the help guys. I've been lookin at so many that all differences kinda blend after awhile:) Sounds like the SE is the one for me. I already know the advantages of carbon from my scratch 3Der's and the head and tail have to be quality to get the quality of flight i'm looking for.:D Now i just have to find the right spectrum servos and rx for it;)Wonder if that one site could custom build it? have to see! Guess i could put my Yak 54 up for trade or sale to get one faster;) Any "one thing you should know"'s about these helis? haven't really heard neat the horror stories like some of the other!!(Had a walkera and shot it with the 12 guage:D) My cp pro i could hover well, when the tail cooperated[>:](proportianal mix sucked)I just want something that will be dependable, not looking to 3d, just want a solid flyer< with the ocassional loop or roll:D

Cubmaster Good luck with the Rex, you won't be disappointed I know I love mine they are just such a fun heli. I would not get spektrum servo's though unless they came out with a new one that I don't know about I think one of the best for the Rex is still the Hitec 65MG but I could be wrong. There is at least one site that will put together a custom trex package for you but I don't know there reputation with customers as I have never bought from them. If you want a good company to deal with check out Heli Proz there is a great bunch of guys and gals and I am not just talking BS I have had great customer service every time I go in the store, and I know there online and phone service is great also. Links below to both stores though.
Can't think of one thing you need to know they are a pretty solid heli and handle good, one thing I guess use the fly bar weights until you get use to the heli. From your other post I am guessing have flown other heli's so you don't really need the weights but they do help a lot. The only other thing I absolutely recommend is the Micro Heli gyro mount its a great way to mount the gyro out of the way.

lol! I have a hard time not checkin out a possible deal also!! It's a Seagull Yak 54, .60 size, 2 piece wing with tube. just bought it all new(everything in it) new 5 months ago. never wrecked, but a mere monocote patch where i fixed a rib:my bud put his hand down on it when the wing was on the hobby table. High torques, big batt, pitts muff, .90 super tigre. super flyer, 98% hands off inverted, and snaps like crazed woman;), very little coupling in the knife.

RE: Which is what?

Good luck on the trade and the new heli. I would almost be interested in the Yak If I didn't just get mine in the air. The only problem is they are both about the same size except mines electric.
