futaba 7c setup problems
Hopefully someone can help, i recently built a thunder tiger mini titan se, but i can not get the 120 eccpm to work properly i have 2 other minis with 120 eccpm and had no problems with setup, the mini titan has the two servos in the front and one in the rear opposite of my other two helis. the problem is when i go into parametr in the menu and change swash type to hn3,hr3,h3,he3,h1 and h2 they all exibit the same problems even if i go into swash afr and change everything to -50. the servos wont all work together except for throttle and pitch changes they work fine. if i move the aileron stick right and left the two servos only move about 30% if i increase the end point the servos will only move about 40%. I have moved the servos plugs around in the rx but still had the same problems, any sugestions would be great, im sure its something simple but im to frustrated to figure it out. Futaba 7c pcm.

RE: futaba 7c setup problems
Have you reversed any of your channels yet? Is it a PCM or FaSST 7C?
|
RE: futaba 7c setup problems
Your endpoints should stay at 100...there is no reason to change that.
Are your servo arms at 90deg when 1/2 stick with a linear pitch curve? Do you have dual rates disabled? Skarn |
RE: futaba 7c setup problems
First, make sure you have the single servo plugged into the elevator channel, the other two in aileron and pitch (ch6)
Then set HR3 for your swash type. Move the throttle stick, do they all move together? No. One will likely be out of synch, reverse that channel. Now they should be moving the same direction. Once you have that straight, set the swashplate screen PITCH setting up so that they are all moving the correct direction. The mini-titan has leading edge grips so the swashplate needs to move down as you move the stick up. Then use the swashplate ail and ele to get those moving the right way. |
RE: futaba 7c setup problems
Its a 7c pcm, i have reversed chanels. the collective works correctly. but the elevator and aileron are on the correct stick but reversed on that stick. if that makes sense to you. i have moved the servo leads on the rx but it made no difference. disableing the duel rates im not sure if they are or not, im not sure how to disable them. The servo arms are 90 deg at half stick.

RE: futaba 7c setup problems
It's been a while on a set-up for me , but I'd go to the swash AFR (HR3) and change the % of the aileron and/or elevator from neg to positive or vice-versa.
Play around with it to get you the correct throws. Go with this assuming you can't get it by reversing the 'problem' channel(s). Let us know how you make out..... Mike |
RE: futaba 7c setup problems
Ill try that again, everytime i reverse anything it throws something else off, but ill keep trying as soon as my frustration subsides. Thx for the input ill let you know what happens.

RE: futaba 7c setup problems
does anyone know why the elevator stick is controlling the throttle along with the throttle pitch stick could it be that i have a mix enabled. all that is plugged into the berg 7p rx is the speed control and two sticks are controlling the throttle.

RE: futaba 7c setup problems
It kinda sounds to me you have servo(s) plugged into the wrong ports.... maybe.
Please list what servos (front left, front right and rear servo) are plugged into which channel number in the rx. You say the elevator stick imput is making the motor spin???? |
RE: futaba 7c setup problems
Iv tried all combinations of servo leads into different chanels on the rx at the time that i realized that the elevator stick was also controling the throttle the only thing that was plugged into the rx was the speed control nothing else. im starting to think that its the rx causing the problems. its not my first setup but i havent had problems like this before. every thing is connected to the correct channel but nothing works correctly. im stumped.

RE: futaba 7c setup problems
Have you checked the TX to see if you have any mixes enabled??
Turn off ALL mixes. Inhibit them (INH)... especially the REVO feature! You can fly with absolutely NO mixes set in the TX. It is VERY unlikely the RX is the problem. The RX 'listens' to what the TX has to say and does what it told via TX programming... mixes and all. Is the TX you have a heli or an airplane version radio??? If you're using the Airplane version, some mixes are ALREADY enabled as default, so you'll have to inhibit them... Not realizing these mixes are 'ON' will cause you to pull your hair out in frustration.;) You didn't list which servos are plugged into which port# on the RX. |
RE: futaba 7c setup problems
The Tx is a heli version and the rx is a berg 7p horizontal pin. i have no mixs enabled i just checked everything im out of ideas i think im going to start changing components. my other 3 helis all work fine but this one is trying my patience. Thx for the input any other ideas are appreciated...

RE: futaba 7c setup problems
Just a thought... provided you may not have the Berg 7p manual. Link is below. It states the TX will not work with PCM TX's.
You'll have to go in the menu and change it to PPM to work. I apologize if you know and/or have already done this. This is probably not the problem as you say the servos work with stick movements. http://www.castlecreations.com/suppo...User_Guide.pdf |
RE: futaba 7c setup problems
Ok i figured it out it was a dumb error as i thought it would be. I went by the thunder tiger manual when i plugged in all the leads, they were wrong, just as every here kept saying to check, i finally looked at my other heli's and realized the problem, sorry bout that, but thanks for all the help guys. i appreciate it.
