Setup curve's for beginner using Optic 6
I have been flying a Honeybee FP Modified, and I flew a friends E-Flight CP Pro with a HH Gyro and did real good, so I bought a Trex-450 .
I have a HiTech Optic 6 TX and I would appreciate anyone who is using this TX if they could give me the throttle curve's and pitch curve's for a beginner setup that is only wanting to fly scale, I'm to old for 3-D but I did manage too fly some 3-D on my RealFlight G2 Sim ( Ha-Ha ) . Thanks To Everyone joe1 |
RE: Setup curve's for beginner using Optic 6
Hi
I used the setup here to start off with(basically the same as in the T-rex manual) http://www.trextuning.com/setuptrex.php then tweak to suit,for example if heli bobs up and down(yo yo effect) when your up out of prop wash (3 to 4ft up) then raise the pitch curve slightly. if the tail bobs up and down or heli feels to mushy raise the throttle curve a bit.Start of with no expo,If you find your consistently over correcting then add about 5% expo for aileron and elevator at a time till ya happy,add about 15 to 20 % expo on the rudder this will help keep the tail still due to thumb/hand shake's on the stick in the early hovers :) Cheers Wozza |

Hi au wozza :=}
I will try those settings to start out on and go from there, I did not get no instruction book with mine, and being I'm new to the CP heli's I don't want to fry my ESC & Lipo's because I had to much pitch and not enough throttle, so I really appreciate you replying and giving these starting settings. Thank You joe1 |
