difference between belted and geared helis
 
im deciding between the genesis 450 v2 and the v2 blueray 450 and i dont know the pros and cons of the belted system and the the geard system. also what heli would you recommend between the 2? thanks

The torque tube drives use less power and doesn't require periodic adjustment. Its a little harder to set up to get the gear mesh correct but once you're done your done.

Belt drives are more forgiving. Bump the tail on a torque tube and you're replacing gears, crash and your replacing the drive along with the usual crash parts where belts rarely break in a crash.

For a beginner, get the belt drive.

nothing wrong the the belt drive....just keep an inspection on teeth wear & tension

I'm not sure if you know this already but none of the models you listed above is a torque tube setup. the genesis and the blueray bothhave belt drives. The trex450 PRO is a torque tube setup. between the blueray and the genesis I'd get the blueray.
