Does this sound right ?
I have a 6ex Futaba Radio. My throttle is set at 0,50,60,75,100 my Pitch is set at 0 at zero, 5+ mid stick and +11 at full stick this in Normal I don't fly 3D. My issues is my pitch settings on the radio are( 1 = 0 ) (2=10%) ( 3= 15% ) (4 = 20%) and (5 = 25%). However my pitch settings are right. Just wondering why my pitch # on my radio seem so weird.

Those are really weird numbers. Go back and take a look at your linkages. Your pitch linkages may be too far out or in. Verify that everything is mechanically zeroed out. Do you have a swash plate leveler? Also verify your mixing arms and washout arms are level when you are at 0 degrees of pitch.

Everything was set up by the book. I have a 600 with pitch numbers pretty close to these. everything is level at 0 pitch. They actually fly fine was just wondering why these numbers were this low even though based on stick position pitch is right.

Should have your minumun pitch (0%) at the lowest stick position ( say -10 degrees). Zero pitch (50%) at mid stick position and maximum (100%) positive (say +10 degrees) at the highest stick position. Then adjust the percentages in the pitch curve of the radio to what you want to fly with. |

are those numbers are from the radio LED or from the pitch gauge. It puzzle me , from the pitch gauge suppose to be at least +10 at highest stick position; 0 at mid stick; -10 at lowest stick.

Although it does seem strange, you all need to read his message again. Stop suggesting that his pitch curve needs to go from -10 to +10. He set it up that way because he does not fly 3D. And he says he set it up by the book. dtacmed Here is my take on it: I think you used a mix of a 3D set-up (long servo arms and 3D settings on the head) that is the reason for your reduced pitch curve numbers. Since the 600 is capable of going from at least -10 to +10 then it seems that pitch settings that go from 0 to +10 should correspond to a pitch curve of 0 to 50. on "normal" (3D) settings. With a shorter servo arm, and different settings on your mixing arms, you should be able to bring that pitch curve to 0 to 100 and keep your pitch settings of 0 to +10. But then, are you sure you will never go for 3D? I learned the hard way that you should learn now to fly with a 3D pitch curve instead of trying to change later. Rafael |

No0w its starting to make a little sense. I did set it up as if It was going to be 3 d capable at least as far as servo arms and throws. Obviously but not going negative I don't need the throw needed for 3D. Do you think I need to shorten these arms or just deal with the numbers as is?

Thanks I set it up that way i did notice in the wind the other day I need neg pitch on landing. Not as big of a problem with the 600 but with the 250 it was=. Thanks for the response.

I was going to shorten the servo arms as mentioned above however with the Align servos moving in the balls looked as if they might bind. I did re-adjust everything and dropped all the servo arms down 1 spline. Now my pitch settings run from 0 - 50 %. Getting closer. As stated earlier I'm set up for normal scale flight only with low stick now being -2 @ 0% and high stick being +11 @ 48% I guess these numbers sound a little more "normal"
