DX7 on Realflight 5 Does it Work????
Hey guys i just got into heli's 3 or 4 weeks ago with a CX2 and im really liking flying, i raced onroad cars, ofroad cars and boats and now i was looking for the next best thing and i think i found it. I plan i building a clone trex 500 in the coming weeks/months but before i do id like to already jump on a good radio and a sim. I stopped by a local shop and held the DX7 and DX6i in my hands and the DX6i just feels weird in my hands the triggers feel like a mile away from my thumbs. The DX7 was real nice im just sure how many extra features are on the radio that made the DX7 so much better than the DX6i (price jump sucks)BUT regardless of all that the DX7 felt alot better in my hands and im sure its worth the money.
My main questions is id like to get the DX7 and sim before i get the clone 500 but id like to start practice WITH the DX7 on my computer so i get used to that radio and that radio alone. Is there way to hook up the DX7 to use the realflight software??? if so please let me know with instructions or links please!! |
RE: DX7 on Realflight 5 Does it Work????
I sometimes use my DX7 with RealFlight G4.5. It hooks using the cable provided with RealFlight - between the two controllers (DX7 Interlink Computer). It's ok, but I do see much benefit (other than add wear and tear to my DX7 and to get familiar to the DX7). You don't have all the channels (e.g. the CH5 rotating dial on the Interlink is not available on the DX7). There is some limit to the channel mapping, and you don't have the reset and select buttons for RealFlight (you have to use the keyboard).
