Align Trex 550E

I found info on it about 5 days ago... I'm surprised that no one posted anything before me. Align's newest machine, not released yet

^^^^^Just to clarify, of course I am not Alan Szabo:eek:

In side news, the Trex 450 Pro kit has been discontinued[&o]

eboyztoyz.net was the first place I discovered the SE V2 was discontinued, so the Pro kit being discontinued is probably not an error or "just them."

Will the super combo be discontinued soon too... and what are their secret plans for new machines (other than the 550E:))...

EDIT: So somebody did post the vid under general discussion helis already... I still don't feel like deleting this, pic & in trex forum...

http://www.helihobby.com/html/trex_700.html Looks promising (funny how it says longer run time)

I say sweet[8D] but thats because I'm an electric guy...

RE: Align Trex 550E

I think that the 550E is what they (Align) had hoped the 600E should of been.
Very very tempted I must say, nice compromise machine between the agility and power to weight ratio of the 500 and the stability of the 600E.
As with all things Align, time will tell.

As far as the discontinuation of the Pro kit, what's the betting it comes back as a flybarless combo, they all appear to be heading that way.

I find all of this interesting... but I'm not sure that everyone else does, this thread isn't getting much activity...

Anyways, more align updates...

The 600 nitro and 700 nitro are now available flybarless

All I know is I am now addicted. I haven't even gotten my Trex 450 in the air and I am looking at the Jr 500e. I have always liked JR's products and love the look and size of the 500e. With that said, by the time I am ready to move up this 550 should be on store shelves and I might have a tough decision to make!

I'm very interested and excited about this.

I can add that Align has told me they will produce a flybar and FBL version of both the 550e and 700e.
Rumored release dates have the 700e coming out in April and the 550e in late April or early May...both unconfirmed.

I'm saving money for the 550e, for sure.

BTW, there's a lot of buzz about this on the other, freaky site.
