I was having problems with my engine when I first used the Bisson pitts as well. If you go back in this thread you will see it. I solved the problem by mixing up JB weld and filling in the exhaust pipes about 1 inch or so. I had a pen stuck into the JB weld and then drilled out the plastic after the JB hardened. It restricted the exhaust just enough to increase the pressure in the tank to take away the detonation at low to mid throttle and also made it easy to tune. I had no effect on top end rpm. This was the new style Bisson Pitts with the rounded down tips btw.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a pitts style smoke muffler that will fit on the 160?
