tt 46 pro
stock muffler just ran in for one tank baffle still in muffler. 96 % humidity 90 degrees farenheit. apc 11/6 12400 still more left to peak out as motor is brand new and I always keep it rich when breaking in. idles at 1800 reliably with excellent transition. haven't needed to even touch the low speed needle. it just baffles me that these run so well for such an excellent price.oh yeah cool power 15% with a little castor added for the breakin run.

Old thread, I know ;)
TT Pro 46, stock muffler without the baffle. 7% Fly High Power (Cool Power), APC 11/5, OS#3 plug. Idle 2500, top 12500. No increace in RPM without the head shim. Edit: With APC 10/7 Idle 2500, top 13300 If you look at the attached picture (from www.mvvs.nl), you can see, that the thrust with the 10/7 prop is a higher that with the 11/5 prop. I guess I'll stick to the 10/7, or? |
RE: tt 46 pro
why are you running an 11 inch prop on an engine that loves and is suited to a 10 inch size ? try either 10 x 6 or 10 x 7 apc props. keep the 11 inch for a 55 size engine.

Thanks for your reply.
11” to get as much torque as possible and low landing speed. There are many people, that use 12/4 or 12,25/3,75 on that engine. Personally it would make my life easier with the 10”, because my Avistar is rather low, and our runway is grass and a bit rough. |

APC 12,25/3,75 prop, A3 plug, High Power (Cool Power) 7 % nitro, 18 % synth. oil, stock muffler with baffle. Sea level 2 degrees C.
11600 not peaked. EDIT: Whoops. 11600 was at screaming peaked setting!:D Let's say 11400 not peaked ;) Same but with a noname flat disk quiet pipe. 13300 not peaked (42 cm). I will make the length 45 cm (12900 RPM) to have a perfect pipe length for vertical and 3D flying. Perhaps some small adjustment when I have made a test flight. EDIT: That is the same RPM increase I had with my Super Tigre GS 45 Edit 7/4-09: It is a MY Tuned pipe if any of you should be interested, see picture ;) Cheers |
RE: tt 46 pro
