Saito FG-30 gas 4-stroke performance - peak rpm?
I am thinking about getting a Saito FG-30 gas 4-stroke engine. I'd like to know what peak RPM people are able to achieve with an 18x6 prop.

18x10 18x14 10500 11000rpm with YS 140 pipe attached OAT 20'C fast needle peak from 51/2 out from closed position 1/4 close in this peak range but coolpower blue 20% nitro smothered out the instant grunt from take off counter torque roll 11000rpm 2000rpm more from stock 440mm length or 770mm from total length. AN Fitting 35cc gas header flex pipe header I can spin a 19x12 9800rpm full throttle

Is this with a glow engine or the Saito FG30? You mention 20% nitro so I had to ask. My question is more focused on what kind of RPM people can get with the Saito FG30.
thanks

I only have direct experience with a Saito 180 that I converted to gasoline for an aquaintance, and that engine managed 2,5 [email protected] or even slightly better. But that was a different prop (Graupner 3-bladed 16 x 8) I would expect low 8's with for example an APC 18 x 6W, or high 8's with a MA 18 x 6. |
